Message from the President

Hello FIU PBL Members! I'm extremely happy to welcome you back to another semester at FIU and another semester as a member of the most competitive organization on campus. I hope you had a great vacation and you are ready to come to one of our upcoming events as we get ready to represent our university at the upcoming 2011 State Leadership Conference in Tampa, Florida. As we get ready to get there, I would like to tell you that this semester we will place a heavy emphasis on opportunities in the following areas: Community Service, Socials, Competition, Professional Development. To learn about this opportunities and much more, join us at our Orientation meeting on Monday, January 23rd at 7:30 P.M. in CBC 232. Free Enterprise Project

The Great Debate

Every year our chapter sets out with the mission of developing a yearly project that raises awareness of the American Enterprise System. This system displays features including ingenuity, freedom of markets and respect for property rights and intellectual rights. With these features at the core, our Free Enterprise Project will educate participants about the system that makes their ideas become the innovations of tomorrow. We will like to present a platform for student organizations to express their thoughts and ideas keeping in mind that those able to do so in the most persuasive way will be recognized by their peers, FIU faculty and staff. In order to reach these goals we are excited to present: The Great Debate a project that will allow both high school and college students to display their public speaking skills through debates on social, political, economic, and financial topics. Business Olympics 2012

The Business Olympics is BACK! There is no doubt that this year will be the most competitive Business Olympics yet. Florida International University is home to the American Marketing Association's International Collegiate Chapter of the Year, Phi Beta Lambda's second ranked chapter in the nation, and ALPFA's the largest student chapter in the nation. Not to mention, the College of Business International Business program was recently ranked #16 in the nation.
