Community Service Events

FBLA-PBL at FIU will be hosting a “Tribute to Children” week of events during the week of February 8th to February 12th. This week of events will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) and specifically our local CMN hospital, Miami Children’s Hospital. The Children’s Miracle Network is a non-profit organization dedicating to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for local children’s hospitals.
For every day of the week, we’ll be hosting an activity with an altruistic and fundraising motif. Activities will range from collecting comments by rolling a giant beach ball around campus to distributing “get-well soon” messages written by elementary school students to kids at the hospital.

Lastly, we’ll culminate our efforts by celebrating kids at our “Children’s Miracle Gala” on Friday, February 12th from 6pm to 9 pm in the Graham Center Room 243. Target will be sponsoring this event and CMN representatives plus a participating family of the CMN program will be in attendance to discuss the hardships they went through while saving their kid’s life. With these efforts, we sincerely hope to spread the message that what we do is TRULY ALL ABOUT THE KIDS!! This children’s gala will culminate our entire week of events in a manner that we hope is memorable for all of those who attend it.

Tickets are currently being sold for $10 per person and tables for $80 (10 people per table).
**All proceeds received during this week will go to the Children’s Miracle Network!**
