FIU FBLA-PBL truly succeeded in GETTING THE EDGE as we surpassed expectations and competed on the national level. FIU took 11 of its best members, who competed amongst the best universities in the nation, in various competitions like Public Speaking, Financial Analysis and Decision Making, International Business, and Website Development, just to name a few.
They also received leadership development and progress by attending workshops and listening to key note speaker, Mr. Frank Maguire. He truly motivated those in attendance with his inspiring speech about his own experiences as Senior Vice President of Industrial Relations for FedEx, right hand man for Colonel Sanders at KFC, and as one of the original task force members who created Project Headstart and the Special Olympics. He also inspired the attendees to discover their own potential through real life experiences.

Along with these competitions, member Yanyn San-Luis received the prestigious honor of being a Who’s Who in PBL 2008-2009 recipient for Florida.
As it can be seen, FIU FBLA-PBL has progressed in its second attendance to the National Leadership Conference. These students have represented FIU FBLA-PBL, the University and most importantly, the College of Business and have truly surpassed all expectations. We are growing as an organization but also as “ambassadors” of the College of Business and Florida International University. Thank you to all who continue to support our mission to develop as students of the Florida International University community and as leaders in the real world. It is because of your support that we have become a successful organization and continue to grow as future business leaders.
